10 Cheerleading Fundraiser Ideas That Work

We run the Slice the Price Card, a Domino’s pizza card fundraiser, so of course it’s #1 on our list! All 10 ideas are proven favorites. Cheer squads have relied on them for years. Most squads run a few, between camp season and competition season.

  1. Slice the Price Card sale. Each cheerleader shares a personal link. Supporters buy a $20 Domino’s card that gives a free large pizza with the purchase of a large at participating Domino’s. Your squad keeps $10 of every card. There is no upfront cost and nothing to store. Two weeks is enough to put a dent in camp fees.
  2. Mini-cheer clinic. Little ones pay to spend a Saturday learning a routine from your squad, then perform it at halftime of a home game. Parents come to watch, and for some squads it may be the biggest event of the year.
  3. Jump-a-thon or stunt-a-thon. Supporters pledge an amount for every jump or stunt hit in a set time, or give a flat donation. The gym and the athletes are already there.
  4. Sponsor a cheerleader. Local businesses sponsor an athlete’s camp or competition fee. In return they get their logo on a banner or warmup. A one-page ask may be all it takes.
  5. Game-night concessions and bake sale. Your squad is at every home game anyway. A table run by cheer parents can turn that time into money.
  6. Spirit wear and bows. Shirts, hoodies, and bows for cheerleaders, parents, and the student section. Order against preorders so the squad is not stuck with unsold bows.
  7. Summer cheer camp. A multi-day camp for younger cheerleaders, taught by your squad, may raise more than a one-day clinic, and it builds your future roster.
  8. Competition program ads. Sell ads or senior shout-outs in the program at your competition or youth camp. Families often buy them to keep.
  9. Car wash. A classic for the weeks before camp: one Saturday, a borrowed lot, and the whole squad.
  10. Restaurant spirit night. A local restaurant gives your squad a share of one evening’s sales. What you make tracks with how many families show up, so give it a week of promotion.

Here’s why we think you’ll love the Slice the Price Card fundraiser!

How the Slice the Price Card program works

The Slice the Price Card is a Domino’s Pizza fundraiser. It has helped groups raise money since 1999. Your supporters buy a $20 card, and the card sells itself. It gets them a free large pizza when they buy a large pizza at menu price. It works at participating Domino’s stores until the card expires.

  • Zero upfront cost. There is no cost to your group, ever, no minimum order, and no leftover inventory, because cards are only sent out once they are sold. The program is risk-free.
  • 50% profit. Cards sell for $20 and your group keeps $10 of every card sold.
  • Sell online, on paper, or both. We set up a free online store. Supporters can buy from anywhere, and we ship the cards to them. You can also use printed order forms. Groups that use both usually sell more cards than groups that only sell online.
  • Runs two weeks. A short sale keeps everyone focused. We find it gets the best results.
  • A specialist helps the whole way. Your Fundraising Specialist sets it up with you. They send your materials and check in with you.
  • Free prize programs. You can add prize and T-shirt programs that reward sellers. They work great for schools and younger sellers.

Cards are good for 6 months to 1 year, based on when your fundraiser starts. The expiration date is printed on every card.

Why it’s perfect for cheer squads

Hits at the right time. Cheer is one of the few sports where the offseason costs as much as the season. Summer camp tuition, choreography fees, and competition registration all come due before the first game. A two-week sale in late spring or early summer brings in the money right when those bills come due.

Free camp outfits. We built the Cheer Camp Program specifically for squads. When every athlete sells 20 cards, the squad earns free custom camp outfits, a printed tee and Soffe shorts, designed by your team at STPShirts.com. That turns a fundraiser into matching practice gear instead of just a check.

One ask, not five. Cheer families are used to being asked for money over and over. Each cheerleader gets a personal share link to send to grandparents and family friends. The card pays for itself the first pizza order. Supporters get something real for their $20.

Coach stays in control. Squads are small enough that a coach can actually see the whole effort. Your live dashboard shows who has sold what, so you can give a quick shout-out at practice and keep the team pushing through both weeks.

What your group can earn

Your group keeps $10 for every $20 card sold — a full 50% profit with no upfront cost. There is no minimum and no maximum number of cards.

The math is simple:

Participants × Cards per participant × $10 = Your profit

10 participants selling 15 cards each

$1,500

25 participants selling 15 cards each

$3,750

50 participants selling 20 cards each

$10,000

100 participants selling 20 cards each

$20,000

Most groups raise around $1,500. Larger or highly motivated groups have raised $10,000+. Our largest fundraiser raised about $21,450. A fundraiser needs at least 5 participants. These numbers are only a guide for setting goals. Real results depend on how many people sell and how hard they work.
