10 Volleyball Fundraiser Ideas That Work
We run the Slice the Price Card, a Domino’s pizza card fundraiser, so of course it’s #1 on our list! All 10 ideas are proven favorites. School and club volleyball teams have used them for years. Most teams combine a few of them over a season.
- Slice the Price Card sale. Each player shares a personal link. Supporters buy a $20 Domino’s card. It gives a free large pizza with the purchase of a large at participating Domino’s. Your team keeps $10 of every card. There is no upfront cost and nothing to store. The sale runs two weeks, so it fits in before club dues and tournament fees come due.
- Serve-a-thon. Supporters pledge an amount for every serve a player lands in, out of 100, or give a flat donation. It costs nothing to run: you already have the gym, the balls, and the net.
- Community tournament. Parents, teachers, and local businesses form teams. Each team pays an entry fee to play in a bracket. Concessions run on the side.
- Youth clinic. Your players run a morning of drills for younger kids for a small registration fee. It raises money and can build your future program at the same time.
- Home-match concessions. Volleyball families often stay for several matches in a night, so a concession table can keep selling. Keep it simple: drinks, snacks, and candy.
- Players vs. staff match. Sell admission to watch your team take on teachers, coaches, or parents. Add a raffle at the break.
- Spirit wear. Team shirts, hoodies, and warmups for players, parents, and fans. Preorder the sizes before you print, so nothing sits in a closet.
- Used gear swap. Families donate outgrown shoes, kneepads, and team gear, and the team sells it to newer players at a fraction of retail.
- 50/50 raffle. Sell tickets at home matches; the winner takes half the pot and the team keeps the rest. Check the raffle rules in your state before you print tickets.
- Gym banner sponsorships. Local businesses pay to hang a banner in the gym for the season. A one-page sponsor sheet and a few talks can cover a tournament fee.

A Volleyball Fundraiser for Club Fees and Tournament Travel
Club dues, tournament entry fees, weekend travel, uniforms, and kneepads make a volleyball season costly for every family. The Slice the Price Card lets your team raise the money. It is a quick two-week pizza sale. It never costs your group a thing.
Start Your Free FundraiserHow the Slice the Price Card program works
The Slice the Price Card is a Domino’s Pizza fundraiser. It has helped groups raise money since 1999. Your supporters buy a $20 card, and the card sells itself. It gets them a free large pizza when they buy a large pizza at menu price. It works at participating Domino’s stores until the card expires.
- Zero upfront cost. There is no cost to your group, ever, no minimum order, and no leftover inventory, because cards are only sent out once they are sold. The program is risk-free.
- 50% profit. Cards sell for $20 and your group keeps $10 of every card sold.
- Sell online, on paper, or both. We set up a free online store. Supporters can buy from anywhere, and we ship the cards to them. You can also use printed order forms. Groups that use both usually sell more cards than groups that only sell online.
- Runs two weeks. A short sale keeps everyone focused. We find it gets the best results.
- A specialist helps the whole way. Your Fundraising Specialist sets it up with you. They send your materials and check in with you.
- Free prize programs. You can add prize and T-shirt programs that reward sellers. They work great for schools and younger sellers.
Cards are good for 6 months to 1 year, based on when your fundraiser starts. The expiration date is printed on every card.
Why it’s perfect for volleyball teams
Two full seasons. Volleyball runs in two worlds. There is a school season in the fall and a club season that stretches through winter and spring. That gives your team flexibility to fundraise whenever the bigger bills are due.
Club costs add up. Club volleyball is expensive. Club dues, multi-day tournament entry fees, and travel to regional events add up fast across a season. The profit your team keeps has no restrictions, so it can absorb a chunk of those costs directly.
Pizza at tournaments. Tournaments are long weekends, and pizza is how a lot of them end. A $20 buy-one-get-one card is really useful to your own volleyball families. It is not just for the relatives they sell it to with their personal share link.
Easy roster to manage. A volleyball roster is compact, usually a dozen or so players. That makes the sale easy to manage. There is nothing to store, and supporters pay online. A live dashboard lets a coach keep a small group motivated through both weeks.
What your volleyball team can earn
Your group keeps $10 for every $20 card sold — a full 50% profit with no upfront cost. There is no minimum and no maximum number of cards.
The math is simple:
Participants × Cards per participant × $10 = Your profit
10 participants selling 15 cards each
$1,500
25 participants selling 15 cards each
$3,750
50 participants selling 20 cards each
$10,000
100 participants selling 20 cards each
$20,000
Most groups raise around $1,500. Larger or highly motivated groups have raised $10,000+. Our largest fundraiser raised about $21,450. A fundraiser needs at least 5 participants. These numbers are only a guide for setting goals. Real results depend on how many people sell and how hard they work.
